In IIS, you may encounter that [Sites] in the left-hand panel are not expanding the websites in Tree View. However, when you click on Sites, you will see all the available sites in [Features View]
  • Recreate Issue

Restoring a backup on the IIS Config can cause this.
Enabled Shared Config can be another contributing factor to this happening.

    Right-Click on the [Start Menu]
    Choose [Computer Management]
    When it loads.

    Click [Services]

    Open [Windows Explorer]
In the address bar, type in [Control Panel]
    Click on [Administrator Tools]
    Open [Services]

(I have a shortcut in my Taskbar for Services. To add it, once Services is open.
From the Taskbar, right-click its icon and choose [Pin to Taskbar])

After performing either of the following, click the [W] key
This will move you down to the W's in the list.

    Next, inside IIS.
Right-click on the Server Name, and choose [Refresh]
